Julia Wakefield – Review of Tales of Kabbarli and Angels of Kangarilla – Holden Street Theatre

Julia Wakefield reviews the Tales of Kabbarli, the storyof Daisy Bates played by Robina Beard, written and directed by Geoffrey Sykes. The one woman play is  then followed by a screening of the new documentary film Angels of Kangarilla, a film about South Australian printmaker Janet Ayliffe.


Tales from Kabbarli

Tales of Kabbarli, a play that revives the character of legendary South Australian explorer and cultural commentator Daisy Bates, is coming to Holden Street Theatres. Daisy is played by Robina Beard –¬†dancer, teacher, and Palmolive commercial star. Cath Kenneally spoke to Robina about her new role.

The play runs from 21 November to 2 December. Tickets are aviable through Venue Tix.
