During the Festival and Fringe lots of new venues popped up around town. There was a concerted effort by Fringe organisers to take it beyond the East End and into all parts of the city. Some venues were designed to be temporary while others have continued to keep their doors open. Many Adelaideans seem to be cultural bingers and only go out regularly during festival times – either in Mad March or for the Cabaret or Guitar Festivals. So how are smaller venues surviving and preparing for the winter? Brett Trimboli runs The Soul Box in the West End of Hindley Street and tells Nikki Marcel how he is bracing his venue for winter. Plus musicians Rob Scott and Patti play live in the studio and add some heart felt testimonials for the venue.
